Calcipotriol (Dovonex) is a vitamin D analogue used as a first-line topical treatment for mild-to-moderate psoriasis. It slows the rapid skin cell turnover that causes psoriatic plaques and normalises skin differentiation. Often combined with betamethasone (Dovobet/Enstilar) for enhanced effect.
