Visa medicals.

Visa requirements and forms are your responsibility. They change and embassies do not always announce it, so please check the current requirements directly with the relevant embassy or High Commission in London, obtain the correct forms, and satisfy yourself you have exactly what your application needs. We will help wherever we can, but confirming what your destination requires is yours to do.

At your appointment a doctor works through the following:

• Examination: What the destination's form requires. Snellen vision check, ECG, spirometry where the form calls for them.

• Destination report form: Completed on the destination's own form, an embassy template, or a covering report we draft. All signatures and stamps included.

• Bloods (where required): HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, syphilis. Additional charge, confirmed at consultation.

• Chest X-ray (where required): TB screening. Referred to our imaging partner.

• Vaccinations (where required): Confirmed at your consultation. We do not currently offer Yellow Fever vaccination.

• Embassy submission: You submit the report yourself, as embassies require.

For standard visa categories, several countries do not require a medical at all, so you do not need us for these: Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Macau, Madagascar, Mexico, Nepal, Peru, Romania, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Suriname, Turkey. If your category is unusual, ask us and we will check.

For many other countries a visa medical may or may not be needed depending on your visa type and category. If your destination is one of these, tell us your plans and a registered GP will check what is required and whether we can complete it for you:

You pay after your consultation in person. Video and phone consultations are paid at booking. Book your appointment, see the doctor, get the report. We tell you about any additional tests at the consultation, before they're done. You settle at the end.
