East & Southern Africa

  • A doctor every time
  • Today, every day.

What does the appointment involve?

A Zimbabwe visa medical usually involves the following, based on Zimbabwe visa medical's current requirements as we understand them today.

  • Examination: A medical certificate, often with a radiological (chest X-ray) report, for residence and work permit applications, completable by a registered practitioner

  • Bloods: May include screening for some categories. Additional charge, confirmed at consultation.

  • Chest X-ray: For TB screening. Referred to our imaging partner; additional charge.

  • Other tests: Radiological report where required

  • Vaccinations: Yellow fever only if arriving from a risk country. We do not provide yellow fever vaccination; please arrange it separately.

  • The report: Completed on the destination's own form, an embassy template, or a covering report we draft, with all signatures and stamps included.

Is there anything else I should know?

  • Requirements and forms are your responsibility. Visa medical requirements change and embassies do not always announce it, so you must check the current requirements directly with the Zimbabwe embassy or High Commission in London, obtain the correct forms, and satisfy yourself that you have exactly what your application needs. We will help wherever we can, but confirming what Zimbabwe requires is yours to do.

  • Part of this process may need to be completed in the destination country; we complete the UK part.

  • Required for some permit classes. Check with the authority handling your application that a report completed by a UK doctor is accepted.
