Caribbean & Oceania

  • A doctor every time
  • Today, every day.

What does the appointment involve?

A Vanuatu visa medical generally involves the following. This reflects Vanuatu's current requirements as far as we know today.

  • Examination: Physical exam (cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, gastrointestinal); blood pressure, height, weight, hearing

  • Bloods: VDRL (when indicated), Hepatitis B antigen, HIV, urinalysis (blood, albumin, sugar). Additional charge, confirmed at consultation.

  • Chest X-ray: For TB screening. Referred to our imaging partner; additional charge.

  • The report: Completed on the destination's own form, an embassy template, or a covering report we draft, with all signatures and stamps included.

Is there anything else I should know?

  • Requirements and forms are your responsibility. Visa medical requirements change and embassies do not always announce it, so you must check the current requirements directly with the Vanuatu embassy or High Commission in London, obtain the correct forms, and satisfy yourself that you have exactly what your application needs. We will help wherever we can, but confirming what Vanuatu requires is yours to do.

  • Form requires only the examining doctor's name, phone and date, with no explicit panel restriction; confirm against the specific visa category checklist.

What does Vanuatu ask for?

Vanuatu asks every residence visa applicant aged 18 or over who plans to stay 12 months or more to have a medical examination. The Department of Immigration's Medical Report form has two parts: you complete your medical history (signed in front of the doctor), and we complete the examination findings. The form asks for tests for hepatitis B and HIV, a urine test, a chest X-ray if you are over 16, and a syphilis (VDRL) test only if clinically indicated. Police clearance certificates are a separate requirement. Requirements and forms can change, so please check the current requirements and form with Vanuatu's Department of Immigration and Passport Services or your agent before you book.

Questions, answered.

What should I bring?

Download the Medical Report form. Part A is the applicant's medical history; Part B ('Examining Doctor's Findings') is completed and signed by your GP after examination, blood tests and a chest X-ray (if aged 16+).

Is there an official form?

Your report is completed on the destination's official medical form:
