Fit to fly in pregnancy.

A fit to fly certificate confirming your stage of pregnancy and fitness to travel, in the format your airline requires.

Fit to fly and travel

  • A doctor every time
  • Today, every day.

What does the appointment involve?

The doctor confirms how many weeks pregnant you are, checks that your pregnancy is straightforward, and issues a certificate stating that you are fit to fly. Where you are expecting twins or more, the doctor notes that, as airline limits differ.

Is there anything else I should know?

Most airlines ask for a certificate from 28 weeks, and many will not carry you after 36 weeks, or 32 weeks for twins or more, so check your airline's cut-off and travel before it. Bring the airline's own form if they have one.
