Travel certificate for carrying medication.

A doctor's letter confirming the medicines you carry and why, for airport security and border control.

Fit to fly and travel

  • A doctor every time
  • Today, every day.

What does the appointment involve?

The doctor issues a signed letter listing the medicines you carry, including any controlled drugs or injectables such as insulin pens, confirming they are prescribed for you and needed for your journey. This is the letter security and customs staff may ask to see.

Is there anything else I should know?

If you are travelling with a controlled medicine, check whether your destination also requires its own permit, as some countries do; that is set by the destination and is worth confirming before you travel.
