Equasym XL uses a different release technology to Concerta XL, with a 30:70 immediate-to-extended release split. This means a slightly larger proportion releases immediately (giving a stronger morning boost) with extended coverage lasting about 8 hours. The capsule design means it can be opened and sprinkled on soft food - a significant advantage for children who can’t swallow capsules.

Driving & machinery

May affect ability to drive. Dizziness, drowsiness, and visual disturbances have been reported. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you.

Age restriction

Methylphenidate/lisdexamfetamine: children 6 and over, and adults. Atomoxetine: children 6 and over, and adults. Guanfacine: children 6-17 (MR formulation). All must be initiated by a specialist in ADHD.

Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
