Desogestrel (Cerazette, Cerelle, Feanolla) is the most popular progesterone-only pill (POP) in the UK. Unlike older POPs, it actually prevents ovulation in most women, making it as effective as the combined pill. It’s suitable for women who can’t take oestrogen, including those who are breastfeeding, over 35, smoke, or have migraines.
