In brief…

Oestrogel is an estradiol 0.06% gel applied daily to the skin. It is the single most prescribed HRT product in the UK, with over 1.3 million items dispensed in 2024/25. Body-identical oestrogen absorbed through the skin, avoiding first-pass liver metabolism. Usually combined with a progestogen such as Utrogestan if you have a womb.
