Clotrimazole is the most widely used topical antifungal in the UK, available over the counter for athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch and vaginal thrush. It’s effective against a broad range of fungi and yeasts, well-tolerated, and usually clears mild fungal skin infections within 2-4 weeks.
