Domperidone is a dopamine antagonist anti-emetic that works mainly in the gut and on the chemoreceptor trigger zone at the base of the brain, with minimal penetration into the brain itself. This means it’s less likely to cause movement side effects than metoclopramide, making it useful in Parkinson’s disease where other anti-emetics are contraindicated.

Metoclopramide, cyclizine, prochlorperazine: may cause drowsiness. Do not drive if affected. Ondansetron: unlikely to affect driving.
Metoclopramide: adults and young people over 15 (max 5 days). Domperidone: adults and adolescents over 35kg. Ondansetron: from age 6 months. Cyclizine: from age 6.
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
