Fluconazole is the most commonly used oral antifungal in the UK. A single 150mg capsule treats vaginal thrush (available OTC), while longer courses treat oral thrush, fungal skin infections, and systemic fungal infections. It’s well-absorbed, well-tolerated and effective against most Candida species.
