Ketoconazole shampoo is the most effective medicated shampoo for stubborn dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis. It targets the Malassezia yeast that causes these conditions, providing treatment rather than just symptom relief. Also used for pityriasis versicolor (a fungal skin discolouration) and as an adjunct for scalp psoriasis.
