Co-codamol 30/500 combines paracetamol with codeine phosphate for more effective pain relief than either alone. It's the prescription-strength version -- stronger than what you can buy over the counter -- and is used for moderate pain that paracetamol or ibuprofen can't manage on their own.

Causes significant impairment of driving ability. It is an offence to drive with certain controlled drugs above specified limits. Do not drive or operate machinery during treatment.

Age restriction

Codeine: adults and children over 12 only (not under 12 for any indication). Tramadol: adults 18 and over. Morphine/oxycodone: adults 18 and over. Use lowest effective dose for shortest duration in elderly.

Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
